Is is no wonder that so many people are confused and disillusioned by online paid survey sites. Many claim that you can earn thousands of dollars a month or $500 an hour for taking surveys online. The fact of the matter is that these outrageous claims should be your first clue that these sites are not legitimate. Reputable survey sites will not claim that you will get rich taking online surveys.
Can you earn extra cash by taking surveys online? Yes you can. If you do your research, you’ll know which sites are legitimate and reliably send out cash paying surveys. In my own experience and from reading reputable forums whose members post their earnings, you can expect to earn around $200 a month if you join as many survey sites as you can manage, and spend 2 to 3 hours a day taking surveys. Does this mean that you can quit your day job? No. But in these uncertain economic times, is an extra $200 or so worth you time? Absolutely.
Keep in mind that these average earnings will not be overnight. In many cases, online paid survey sites will send the better paying surveys to those who have established a reputation with them. Unfortunately, this process is not for the “instant gratification junkie! It takes time to qualify for surveys, time to receive high quality surveys and time to complete them.
Another frequent refrain I hear is “I’ve been taking surveys for a month and I haven’t seen any money yet”. Although there are a few survey sites out there who don’t have minimum payouts, most do. You can expect minimum payout to be anywhere from $5 to $100 depending on the website. Although I would not recommend joining any survey site whose minimum payout is more than $50. Therefore, it will be at least a couple of months before you’ll get your first check or Paypal payment. Be patient!
Rest assured that there are many legitimate survey sites from which to choose. Are there any survey sites out there with money trees who send out 100’s of high paying surveys every month? Nope. Don’t let this discourage you in your quest to make some extra money online. Always consider the source, and be wary of those websites that claim unrealistic earnings. If it seems too good to be true, it is!
